HMD Global (formerly Nokia)

HMD Global, now known as Human Mobile Devices, is a Finnish company specializing in the production of mobile phones, smartphones, and tablets. It was established in 2016 and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland. Initially, the company acquired the rights to the Nokia brand through a licensing agreement, but since 2024, it has begun using its own brand, HMD, alongside the Nokia brand.

HMD Global focuses on creating devices with an emphasis on security, performance, and innovation. They collaborate with Google to integrate the Android operating system and offer phones with pure Android under the Android One program. Manufacturing is outsourced to Foxconn.
